Overview
Allegiant Air offers low-fares, nonstop, all-jet service for leisure travelers. The airline was founded in 1997 and is certificated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) as a "Scheduled Air Carrier" with authorization to fly both scheduled and charter airline operations throughout the U.S.  This airline is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada and flies to 60 destinations in 29 states in North America.

Where Do They Fly?
Allegiant Air flies routes throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. The airline operates a fleet of MD80 series aircraft, and currently offers nonstop service to Las Vegas and Orlando-Sanford, as well as other premier vacation destinations in cities across the United States. The airline also operates charter service throughout the U.S., Mexico, Canada and Cuba.

Check-in Information
Passengers can check in online from 24 hours to 45 minutes before scheduled departure time. Passengers with baggage can check in online and then proceed to the baggage counter when they arrive at the airport. Passengers are encouraged to arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to scheduled departure.

Baggage Fees
Carry on
Carry on luggage must fit under the seat or in an overhead compartment, and one piece of carry on is permitted per passenger. The size must not exceed 9 x 16 x 19 inches.
 
Checked
Checked baggage fees range between $15 and $20 for the first checked bag and $25 for the second checked bag per person, per segment. If purchased at flight check-in, the fee is $35 for the first checked bag and an additional $35 for the second checked bag.

Additional bags
Each passenger is allowed a maximum of two checked bags, not to exceed 50 lbs each, and outside dimensions not to exceed 80 inches. Bags in excess of two and/or exceeding weight or size limitations are subject to additional charges.

Passenger Change Details
All changes must be done over the phone by contacting Allegiant Air's Customer Care department. No changes will be permitted within 72 hours of travel. Cancellations or changes can be made for the reservation up to 15 days prior to scheduled departure of r fee of $75 per segment, per person, and any applicable fare increases will apply.

Child Fares
Children between fourteen days old and under the age of two will not be charged if they are sitting on the lap of  paying passenger 12 years of age or older. Children between the age of five to eleven years of age will be charged $100 for each non-stop, one-way confirmed reservation. A $100 per segment fee will be imposed for unaccompanied minors between the ages of 5 and 11 years of age.

Pet Fees
The airline accepts live domestic cats and dogs only in the passenger cabin of the aircraft, and these must be stowed in an kennel or carrier that fits under the seat and is no larger than 9"H x 16" W x 19" D.
