Bmi regional is the local flight service available from UK-based bmi. This airline flies from several airports outside of London and primarily serves destinations in Europe. It has earned its reputation as the UK's most punctual airline, and operates an all-jet fleet. Passengers can use the self check-in machine at most UK airports; these close 30-45 minutes before departure depending on destination. Online check-in is also available 24 hours before departure and closes 30 minutes before departure. Passengers may check in at the bag drop desk; these typically close 30-45 minutes prior to departure.

Carry on
The maximum size of carry on baggage is 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm including wheels, handles and side pockets. Business class flyers may take up to 2 pieces of carry on baggage plus one personal item on their flight; premium economy travelers may take up to 2 pieces of carry on plus one personal item on transatlantic flights; economy travelers may take 1 piece of carry on no larger than plus one personal item on their flight.

Checked
Business travelers are allowed 2 pieces up to 64 kg (maximum weight of 32 kg per piece) on transatlantic flights. Economy flexible, economy and economy saver flyers may also take 2 pieces up to 46 kg (max weight 23 kg per piece) on transatlantic flights.

Additional bags
All passengers traveling to and from the UK are not allowed to carry bags that weigh more than 70 lbs. If the carryon luggage does not fit in the overhead compartments, the passenger must check in the bag to transport it in the baggage hold. Excess baggage charges are 7 pounds/10.50 euros per kg outbound, and 7 pounds/10.50 euros per kg inbound.

Passenger change details

Dates and times of flights can be changed for a fee of $60 per person; tickets can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours before the flight for a fee of $50. All cancellations must be made by calling the cancellation center at 0870 6070555, but general ticket changes can be made online or by contacting the reservations department.

Child fares

Children under two years of age are charged 10% of the adult fare as long as they can sit comfortably on an accompanying adult's lap.
