Check in

Check in fees at the airport are 3.99 pounds per passenger if the reservation was purchased online and 6 pounds if the reservation was made through the call center. Baggage

Baggage fees are charged per item of baggage. The baggage fee may be prepaid at the current discounted internet rate of 7.99 pounds /12.78 euros per item of baggage/per one way flight when making your reservation online. Children under the age of 2 are entitled to a 5kg baggage allowance.

Carry on
Each passenger is permitted on standard piece of carry on luggage with maximum dimensions of 55x40x20cm and a maximum weight of 10kg.

Checked
Each passenger has a checked baggage allowance of 20 kgs with a maximum of 5 bags per one way flight. Passengers travelling together may pool their baggage allowance up to the equivalent of 20 kgs per passenger.

Additional bags
All baggage in excess of the checked baggage allowance of 20kgs will be charged at the bmibaby excess baggage rate applicable on the date of your flight. The current rate is 6 pounds (10 euros) per kilo. The maximum weight of any one bag is 32 kilos

Passenger change details

Name changes to flights can be made via the reservations center for a fee of 35 pounds (56 euros) per passenger and must be made at least 2 hours before departure. Passengers may make changes to their flight details online, over the phone or at the airport. Online changes are charged 20 pounds (30 euros) per sector, changes made over the phone are charged 5.00 pounds (10.00 euros) per sector, and changes made at the airport are charged a fixed fee of 35 pounds. Changes made at the airport must be made at least 2 hours before departure. Bmibaby does not offer cancellations, but may offer a travel credit or a refund for a deceased passenger minus a 20.00 pounds administration fee.

Child fares

Children under two years of age can travel at no charge if they can comfortably sit on an accompanying adult's lap.

Pets

Bmibaby accepts guide dogs on UK domestic services (including the Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands). Passengers should call the reservations department to confirm information about their pets.

Carrying Musical Instruments

Passengers may purchase an extra seat for large musical instruments but these must be approved by the airline. All musical instruments are charged 17.99 pounds (28 euros) per sector per item for reservations made online and 22.50 pounds (36 euros) per sector per item for reservations made at the bmibaby call centre or airport.

In-flight service

Passengers can purchase duty-free products on board, as well as snacks and beverages. An in-flight magazine is also available.
