Overview

First Choice is the trading name of TUI UK Limited and part of the TUI Travel PLC Group, the UK’s leading leisure travel company. First Choice Airways flies over six million customers each year to over 80 destinations from 26 UK airports. The airline was founded in 1987 and was formerly known as air2000. It has earned several awards including ‘Best Charter Airline’ at the Travel Weekly Globe Awards 2007, and works with over 80 tour operators to create unique flight packages for travelers of tastes.

First Choice Airways flies from several key airports including London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester and Newcastle in the United Kingdom. Flights are available for both domestic and international travel to destinations including Jamaica, Alicante, Aruba, Barbados, Funchal and Lanzarote.

Check in

Passengers are encouraged to check in at least three hours prior to departure. Passengers may also use the ‘Your booking’ feature to conduct the preliminary check-in process.

Baggage

Carry on
All passengers are permitted to take one small item weighing less than 11 lbs and no larger than 18 x 14 x 8 inches.

Checked
The maximum baggage allowance for checked baggage is 44 lbs per person. Travelers taking a Skytours or going on a saver holiday may take only 33 lbs. Children under the age of two do not have a baggage allowance. The baggage allowance may be reduced on select flights if there is limited cargo space.

Additional bags
Any baggage weighing more than 70lbs will not be accepted. Excess baggage charges will be imposed on baggage weighing between 44-70 lbs at a rate of $11 per kg on short-haul flights and $16 on long-haul flights.

Passenger change details

Changes must be made at least 14 days prior to departure and fees range between £20 - £35 depending on when the change is made.

Carrying Musical Instruments

Musical instruments that meet standard baggage allowances are permitted on each flight. Passengers may elect to purchase an additional seat for extra large instruments.

In-flight service

Complimentary meals are served on each flight, and bar service is available on select flights. Passengers can enjoy on-demand movies and television on long-haul flights.

Complimentary meals are served throughout the day on all flights, and drinks and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. Children’s meals are also available at a cost of £2 per child on shorthaul flights and £10 per child on long haul flights. Children’s meals must be reserved at least seven days before the flight.
