Overview

As one of the UK’s leading bargain flight airlines, flybe offers dozens of flights from more than 20 airports in the UK for both domestic and international travel. Flybe is Europe’s largest regional low-cost airline and the route network is 70% domestic UK, 20% European business and 10% European leisure destinations.

Where do they fly

Flybe has major hubs in Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester, Jersey, Guensey, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Southampton and Inervness. It operates out of more UK airports than any other airline with destinations including the Channel Islands, Amsterdam, Portugal, Switzerland and others.

Check in

The desk closes 30 minutes before departure for domestic flights with baggage check, or 20 minutes before departure for passengers only taking carry on luggage. International flight passengers are encouraged to check in at least 45 minutes before departure and an hour or more if they are checking in baggage.

Passengers may take a maximum of 11 lbs. of carryon luggage that does not exceed dimensions of 18x14x6 inches.

Checked
Checked luggage may not weigh more than 55 lbs, and there is a charge of $12 each way if the luggage is checked at the airport, and $6 each way if booked in advance online.

Additional bags
Bags are charged at a rate of $11 per kg in excess of the 55 lbs. standard baggage allowance.
Passenger change details
Passengers may make changes to their tickets up to two hours before departure for a fee of $50 per person, per sector plus any differences in fares. Changes can be made online or by calling the reservations desk. Name changes can be made via telephone.

Child fares

Children under two years of age who can comfortable sit in an adult’s lap can fly for 12% of the adult fares (domestic flights only).

Pets

Pets are permitted only on certain routes; check with the reservations department to determine if your pet is eligible to fly.

Carrying Musical Instruments

Musical instruments are typically considered to be standard carry-on luggage if they meet the weight and dimensions requirements. Some instruments may fall under the ‘exceptional item’ category and incur a fee of £17 per piece.

In-flight service

Drinks and snacks can be purchased on board select flights. This is part of flybe’s exclusive ‘Deli in the Sky’ program.

Flybe offers an exclusive menu through its ‘Deli in the Sky’ program; this a la carte menu includes sandwiches, pastries, muffins, hot drinks, and other snacks. Bar service is also available on select flights.

In-flight Magazine

Flybe offers bi- monthly publication Uncovered which covers topics about celebrities, travel, lifestyle and dining. This magazine is available on all flights.
