A budget-friendly Scottish airline, flyglobespan offers flights from Edinburg, Glasgow, and Aberdeen to several destinations across the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada and European holiday resorts that are part of its parent company, Globespan.

Check in

Check in is only available at the airport, and passengers can check in at the gate up to 40 minutes prior to departure for European and Egyptian flights, and 1 hour prior to departure for longhaul flights.

Baggage

Passengers on flights to Europe and Egypt have a baggage allowance of 20 kgs (checked baggage and carryon baggage). Passengers on flights to the USA and Canada are permitted to take 25kgs of baggage; Business class travelers can take 40 kgs of baggage.

Passengers may carry one item of carry on luggage no larger than 55 x 45 x20 cm.

Checked
Passengers on European flights and flights from Europe to Egypt will need to pay a £6.00 / €7.10 per bag each way if bags are checked online, and £10 / €12 per bag each way for baggage checked at the airport.

Additional bags - No bags can weigh more than 32 kilos, and an additional baggage allowance can be purchased in advance at the rate of £15 / €25 / $27 / CAD$30 for 10 kilos per flight sector, up to a maximum of 50 kilos. Excess baggage will be charged at £5 / €7 / $9 / CAD$10 per kilo at the airport if the passenger does not increase their baggage allowance prior to the flight.

Passenger change details

Name changes can be made up to 48 hours prior to departure for a fee of £20 per person per single flight to Europe and Egypt and £35 per person per single flight for all other destinations. Name changes are only available on a roundtrip basis; any changes made by telephone will be charged higher fees. Flight cancellations can be made using the ‘manage your booking’ feature on the airline website; charges for this change vary depending on the type of flight and time of change.

Carrying Musical Instruments

Small instruments can be considered for carry on luggage if it can fit in the overhead bins, but larger instruments may require check in at for the aircraft’s baggage hold.

In-flight service

Drinks and snacks are available for purchase on board short-haul flights, and complimentary meals and drinks are served on long haul flights. Additional snacks and drinks are also available for purchase on all flights. Passengers can also enjoy music from nine audio channels and watch in-flight movies on select flights. In-flight entertainment is available on longhaul flights to Florida and Canada.
