Overview

As one of the UK's discount airlines, Jet2.com offers flight service to several European cities and vacation destinations in Italy, Amsterdam and France. The airline is based out of Leeds Bradford and Manchester, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dart Group PLC. The airline has been flying commercial aircraft for 30 years, and has flown over 8 million passengers to date.

Where do they fly

Jet2Blue flies to 9 popular European destinations from Belfast International Airport including Pisa, Tenerife and Malaga and two domestic routes between Belfast and Leeds Bradford. It recently started flying two new routes from Edinburgh to La Rochelle and Toulouse.

Check in

Airport check-in desks open 2-3 hours before departure and close 40 minutes before scheduled departure (30 minutes on domestic flights for passengers that are only taking hand baggage). Passengers are encouraged to check-in no later than 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Carry on
Passengers may take one small piece of hand baggage no heavier than 10 kg and no larger than 46 x 30x23 cm.

Checked
Checked baggage allowances vary by flight, but each passenger may take a maximum of 5 bags per one way flight. No single bag can weigh more than 25 kgs, and baggage allowances can be pooled or shared with a group booking.

Additional bags
The excess baggage charges for each bag depends on the duration of the flight and fees range between 5.99GBP - 14GBP depending on how the bags are checked in and at what time.

Passenger change details

Passengers may make changes to their itinerary online by logging into their account with a booking reference number and last name. This service also allows passengers to make seat changes, check-in online and upgrade to Jet2Plus.

Child fares

Infants under the age of 2 may fly for a fee of GBP 7 per flight if they are sitting in the lap of a fare paying adult. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a person 16 years or over, and will need to pay the full adult fare.

Pets

No animals except service animals are permitted to be carried on the flight. Guide dogs can fly free of charge.

Carrying Musical Instruments

Musical instruments that are smaller than 46x30x23 cm and weigh less than 10 kg can be carried as hand luggage, but excess baggage fees may apply for larger items. Passengers may purchase an extra seat to carry larger instruments such as guitars or cellos in the cabin.
