Overview

With headquarters in Bratislava, SkyEurope serves flies to 39 destinations and 19 countries across Europe. The airline is the recipient of the 2008 Skytrax World Airline Awards and has partnered with Italian-based carrier Myair.com to offer more routes and destinations to and from Italy. The airline is Europe's most modern fleet and offers cheap flights across Europe without compromising on quality. The airline was founded in February 2002 and has since carried over 3.7 million passengers each year.

Check in

Passengers may check in at check-in desks at the airport or online using the Web Check-In tool. Check-in for all domestic and international flights opens 2 hours prior to departure and desks close 40 minutes prior to departure. Web check-in is available for all passengers who hold a valid EU passport or photo ID and are traveling only with cabin baggage.

Baggage

Carry on
Passengers may bring one piece of cabin baggage on board; carryon luggage cannot exceed 55x40x20 cm and must fit safely in the overhead locker. A 2nd cabin baggage option is available on all flights from Amsterdam for a fee of 10 euros when booked online.

Checked
Passengers may check in up to 20 kg of baggage per flight, and can carry up to 5 pieces of checked baggage at no additional cost. The maximum weight of any single piece of checked baggage is 32 kg. The checked baggage fee ranges from 8 - 16GBP depending on how the flight was booked.

Additional bags
Excess baggage fees of 8 GBP per kg are imposed on all bags that exceed standard baggage allowance requirements.

Passenger change details

A flight change fee of 31GBP is charged per flight, per passenger. Name changes can be made for a fee of 80 GBP per passenger.

Child fares

Children under the age of two who can comfortably sit in an adult's lap can fly for a fee of $16; children over the age of two will need to pay the full adult fare.

Pets

Pets traveling in the hold incur a fee of 25 GBP per flight, per passenger.

Carrying Musical Instruments

A special baggage charge is imposed on all musical instruments regardless of whether they are considered checked baggage or used as part of the free baggage allowance.

Sky Europe offers the SkyDelights In-Flight Menu of snacks, soft drinks, hot beverages, beer, wine and spirits at an extra charge. The assortment is offered shortly after takeoff. Passengers flying on a charter flight can enjoy complimentary refreshments consisting of a cold plate, coffee, tea or water.
