United Express serves as the regional arm of United Airlines to offer express flights to over 150 destinations across the U.S. and Canada. ; United Express offers over 2,000 flights per day with connecting flights with United, Ted and Star Alliance departures.

Check in

Passengers flying United Express as a connecting flight on routes with United, Ted and Star Alliance will be automatically checked in to the destination and receive a boarding pass for the flight. Baggage will also be automatically checked to the final destination.

Baggage

Carry on
Passengers may take one carry-on bag and one personal item on board. The carry-on luggage cannot be larger than 45 linear inches, and must fit in the overhead bins.

Checked
Passengers may take two items on board each flight; the first bag will be charged a fee of $15 each way, and the second bag will be charged $25 each way. Checked bags cannot be larger than 62 linear inches or weigh more than 50 lbs. each.

Additional bags
An oversized baggage fee of $175 per bag may apply. Passengers may take additional bags through their regular routes, with fees ranging between $125 - $200 each way depending on the number of bags and status of the Mileage Plus program.

Passenger change details

Passengers may make a change request up to four hours before departure; any changes may incur a fee of $25, and United Express may offer alternate seats if the request cannot be fulfilled. Other fees and charges may apply depending on how the flight was booked.

Child fares

Children under 24 months of age who can sit comfortably on an accompanying adult's lap may fly for free.

Senior fares

Senior passengers who are part of the Silver Wings Plus program may be eligible for discounts depending on their route.

Pets

Some pets may be transported on board as carry-on luggage. Passengers traveling with dogs or cats must contact the reservations desk to make arrangements and fees and charges may apply depending on the route and the size of the pet carrier.

Carrying Musical Instruments

Musical instruments may be transported as carry on or checked luggage if they meet baggage allowance requirements. Passengers may elect to purchase an additional seat for oversized or fragile items.

Select United Express flights offer meal and snack services. Complimentary beverages may also be served depending on the duration of the flight.
