West Jet offers web check in services from 24 hours up to 60 minutes before flight departure so passengers can print their boarding pass before going to the airport. Mobile check in with a Blackberry or other mobile device is available, as well as kiosk check in at the airport and curbside check in.

Baggage Fees
Carry on
Each passenger is allowed to two items of carry-on baggage. The first item can have a maximum weight of 10 kgs (22 lbs) and a maximum size of 55 cm x 23cm x 40 cm (21.5in x 9inx 15.5 in). The second item can have a maximum weight of 10 kgs (22 lbs) and a maximum size of 43 cm x 16 cm x 33 cm (16.5 in x 6 in x 13 in). All carry on items must fit in the sizing device at check-in and be stored under the seat or in the overhead compartment.
Checked
Two items of checked baggage are permitted per fare-paying passenger. Both items can have a maximum weight of 23 kgs (50 lbs), and a maximum size of 157 cm (62 in).
Additional bags
More than one fee may be applied for excess bags. A maximum of two excess pieces are accepted on a space-available basis per fare paying guest. Overweight bags more than 24 kgs (50 lbs) but not over 45 kgs (100 lbs) are considered excess baggage. Oversize bags are those that are between 158 cm to 200 cm (62in to 80 in).

Passenger Change Details
Fares can be changed or refunded up until two hours prior to flight time. Changes made on the same day of booking through the Sales Super Centre are not subject to a fee, but may be subject to an increase in fare. Changes made after the day of booking may be subject to a fee of $50CAD/USD (plus tax) per person.

Child Fares
One child under the age of two years may travel at no additional charge with each paying adult guest, and they can be seated on the adult's lap for the duration of the flight. Car seats can be purchased for an infant.

Pet Fees
The service fee per kennel is $50 each way for animals in the cabin and $50 each way for animals in checked baggage. WestJet allows cats, dogs, rabbits and birds in the cabin, and cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, chinchillas, guinea pigs and hedgehogs as checked baggage. A maximum of four kennels in the cabin is accepted per flight, and a maximum of three kennels in checked baggage will be accepted per flight. Only one animal is allowed per guest, and weight restrictions are 22 lbs (10 kgs) for animals in the cabin and up to 100 lbs (45 kgs) as checked baggage. Size restrictions are 16"x17.5"x8.5" (40 cmx44cmx21.5cm) for animals in the cabin, and 36"x24"x26" (91cmx 61cm x 66cm) for animals in checked baggage.
