Dallas-Fort Worth International is the busiest airport in Texas. Nearly 60 million passengers pass through the facility each year. It serves the sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, which includes important suburban cities like Arlington and Irving. Travelers whose final destination is one of the smaller Central Texas cities like Waco (1 hour away by car), also use Dallas Fort Worth International.

Major airlines: DFW is an American Airlines hub. Northwest, Delta, and United fly to the airport's Terminal E.
Parking: Terminal parking costs $17 per day. Express parking is $11 per day, including shuttle service to all terminals. Remote parking, at the far ends of the airport, is only $7 per day, including shuttle service.

Ground Transportation
Car rental agencies are located at the southern entrance of the airport. There are ten companies, including Avis, Budget, Thrifty and Hertz. A shuttle bus connects the lower level of the terminals with the car rental zone. Taxis can be hailed outside of each terminal. A flat rate fare of $40 applies to all trips from the airport to Central Dallas. Trinity Railway Express provides rail service from the airport to both Downtown Dallas and Downtown Fort Worth. Fares are $2.50 one-way. Many hotels offer complimentary shuttle service for those who pre-arrange it when making their hotel reservation.

Terminal Information
Dallas Fort Worth is one of the country's largest airports in terms of area. There are five terminals, labeled A-E. The terminals are connected by the world's largest high-speed airport train system, Skylink. According the airport, the average travel time in between terminals is 5 minutes. Each terminal has a similar assortment of shops, fast food restaurants and sit down restaurants. Terminals A through D are dominated by American Airlines and its affiliates. Terminal D receives international flights from AA and major international carriers. Other major US-based carriers fly into terminal E.

Places to Eat
Each terminal has the usual assortment of fast-food eateries: McDonald's, KFC, Taco Bell, and several regional Tex-Mex chains. In addition, terminals boast at least one bar and one sit down restaurant, such as TGI Fridays. The international terminal (Terminal D) has the largest selection of non-food-court-style eateries.

Amenities
DFW boasts the Skylink, a high speed train (average speed 35 mph) that conveniently connects all the terminals. In addition, multi-lingual customer service personnel are available to assist airport users with problems or to provide directions.
