Umeno:  When you're in the mood for sushi and other Japanese delights, make your way to this restaurant in South Amsterdam.  It's a popular venue for Japanese residents and serves up some of the freshest sashimi and sushi platters in the city.  You'll find it at Agamemnonstraat 27 off Olympiaplein.

Wilhelmina Dok:  If you're looking for gourmet dining at its best, head to the north shore of Amseterdam to eat at this restaurant inside a river cruise ship.  You'll enjoy a delicious dinner by candlelight and can choose from a diverse menu of organic, continental foods including grilled veal cutlets and the famous flageolet salad.  It's located at Nordwal 1 at IJplein on the waterfront.
