Bras d'Or Lake is one of the most beautiful natural sites on the island of Cape Breton, and is surrounding by lush hills, forests and mountains. The lake is in the center of a quaint, relatively quiet community that is steeped in many historic Nova Scotia traditions. 1. Enjoy at least one meal at a local pub.  The local pubs and eateries around Cape Breton serve up classic Nova Scotia cuisine, which consists of freshly baked bread, salmon cakes, roasted lamb and other traditional dishes passed down through the generations. 2. Plan outdoor adventures during your stay.
