Port St. Lucie, Florida is a relatively small (and comparatively young) city on the Atlantic coast of Florida. It was only incorporated in 1961 but today it is one of the state's fastest growing cities. It is located on the St. Lucie River and offers a wide variety of recreational and entertainment venues that the whole family can enjoy. Be sure to rent a car. The city is sprawling and there is no real public transportation.

The Professional Golf Association (PGA) Learning Center is located in the city, and so are the PGA Historical Center, PGA Golf Professional Hall of Fame and the Probst Library. This is definitely the city for the golf fan to visit.

The climate in Port St. Lucie is very pleasant. Temperatures remain in or near the 70's F most of the year. Even the winter lows are mild, only dropping down around 50F. Summers can be a bit wet with September being the wettest month at an average of 8 inches. Winter is the peak time to come for a visit.
