The Sofitel Minneapolis Hotel is a moderately-priced hotel near the Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport in the large suburb of Bloomington.  Like other inns bearing the famous Sofitel brand, this hotel is characterized by a European flair and solid services and amenities.  The Sofitel earns positive hotel reviews from business travelers because of its comfortable desks and high-speed internet access.  There is also a modern fitness center, two French-themed sit-down eateries, and an in-house bakery that offers take-out treats.  Classy extras like a courtyard garden and bell-hop service make this one of the best hotel deals outside of Downtown Minneapolis.  

Though business travelers make up much of the clientele, the location and atmosphere are attractive to leisure travelers as well.  The Mall of America, one of the largest shopping venues in the U.S., is located nearby.  A nearby indoor water park was recently added to the list of mall-related attractions.  

Though it is located in the suburb of Bloomington, the hotel is a mere five minutes from Minneapolis.  The city's south side is filled with independently owned restaurants and cafés.  There is also a lively arts scene that includes both galleries and performance spaces.  A light rail line connects that Mall of America with Downtown Minneapolis.  The large shopping promenade known as Nicollet Mall hosts high-end boutiques.  The enclosed Skyway system makes it possible to travel through downtown during the winter without having to go outside.
