Luxury Hotels in Phoenix - Royal Palms

The Royal Palms Resort is located on the south slopes of Camelback Mountain.  This luxury hotel and boutique resort is one of the best upscale hotel deals in Phoenix.  Originally built in 1920, the resort consists of well-manicured lawns with mature palm trees and Spanish colonial-style villas.  Hotel reviews often point to the colorful, cutting edge interior design of the rooms as the reason that this luxury hotel stands out from other resorts in the glitzy Camelback District.  In addition, the Palms' balconies and patios offer some of the best views of the Camelback Mountains in all of Phoenix.    

A 2007 renovation gave the grounds a new building and a several new and updated features.  The full-service Alvadora Spa and the Mediterranean-themed T. Cook's restaurant add to the feel of classy luxury.  There is also a collection of memorabilia from the travels of the original owner of the property, a shipping magnate.  

The hotel is equidistant from the upscale shops of the Biltmore Fashion Park and the art galleries and historic atmosphere of Scottsdale's Old Town.  The golf courses of Scottsdale are also nearby, as are natural attractions like the Desert Botanical Gardens, which is one of the most extensive collections of desert plant life in the world.  And, of course, this being Phoenix, there are numerous golf courses in the vicinity of Camelback and the Royal Palms Resort.
