The Westin La Cantera Resort includes a luxury hotel that boasts upscale amenities and unique features.  This resort is located in San Antonio's hill country.  The centerpiece of La Cantera is the Resort Golf Course, designed by famous golfer Arnold Palmer.  But there is more to the La Cantera's amenities than fairways and greens.  Hotel reviews often mention the six swimming pools, three hot tubs and the full service spa as the main non-golf attractions in this luxury hotel.  
La Cantera features standard rooms and luxury casitas (small villas).  Aside from standard amenities like plush beds and flat-screen TVs, many rooms have patios or balconies.  The 11 casitas are located in a quiet part of the resort and offer the ultimate in exclusive luxury, including colonial-style design and mahogany woodwork.  

Francesca's at Sunset is the resort's showcase restaurant, but there are a handful of other dining choices to be found on the La Cantera's grounds.  The sheer amount of choices makes this one of San Antonio's best high-end hotel deals.

Nearby attractions include the Six Flags Fiesta Amusement Park and the many tourist sites of downtown San Antonio.  The amusement park is one of the largest in Texas and is especially family-friendly.  

The showcase attraction in Downtown San Antonio is the Riverwalk.  The area is home to nightlife venues, shops, restaurants and plenty of live music.  There are also chances to cruise on the river itself.
