The Ivy Hotel is one of San Diego's best luxury hotels.  Its restaurant and nightclub are among the most popular venues in the city.  All rooms either face the interior light displays or the cityscape of Downtown San Diego.  The design of the rooms combines light, glass, and mirrors with designer furnishings, fine bed linens, and perks like in-room bottle service.  Each room has an iPod docking station and a 42-inch plasma television.  Suites have separate studies and ultra-plush furniture.  All rooms are spacious, averaging more than 400 square feet.  

Though the Ivy is not a place for those seeking the ultimate hotel deal, it is unquestionably one of California's finest luxury hotels.  

The Ivy earns positive hotel reviews for its all-encompassing boutique-style luxury.  Envy is one of the city's finest nightclubs (VIP admission is complementary for guests).  The Ivy Rooftop is a more laid-back lounge with excellent views of the city from on high.  Quarter Kitchen, the hotel's in-house eatery, is a Japanese-fusion restaurant with seafood, steaks and sushi.  

The Ivy Hotel is located in the Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego's historic district, which has become the city's center for nightlife, fine dining, and culture.  The streets of Gaslamp are lined with boutiques, restaurants, bars, theaters, and nightclubs.  

Balboa Park, which includes more than a dozen museums and gardens (including the famous San Diego Zoo) is also located nearby.
