As one of the most well-recognized high rise hotels in San Francisco, California, the Intercontinental Hotel can be found at 888 Howard Street next to the Moscone West Center. The hotel opened in February 2008, and has been built with 550 rooms; it is the largest hotel in San Francisco next to the San Francisco Marriot. The hotel features the I-Spa and Health Club for fitness enthusiasts and a night of relaxation, along with the Luce restaurant and Bar 888 for dining options.

The metropolitan area of San Francisco is home to dozens of attractions and year-round activities, and has a population of approximately 7.2 million people. The city is minutes from the Pacific Ocean, and once served as the send-off point for many soldiers during the World War II era.
