Those people who have dreamed of being part of the "Amazing Race" but dreaded seeing themselves on national TV may now have the perfect answer to their needs.
Competitours is a new travel opportunity that allows you to do the what you see exactly on "The Amazing Race." You get to travel, compete and you even have a chance to win. The travel itinerary is secret and offers interactive challenges. In the end, each team has the chance of winning a worldwide travel spree.
The competitions are designed to work the creativity, teamwork and resourcefulness of the competitors instead of focusing on the speed and strength. Each day teams are emailed the day's challenges and destination. Teams can choose which challenges to pursue and each day offers from 9 to 12 challenges.
Teams will be documenting their challenges and adventures with video blogging. Judges will look at the substance of the video blogs and the on-camera dialogue or the narrative that the teams provide. Editing and cool camera techniques will not add to the judging but that does not mean that teams are limited from using them.
Teams will have options of doing challenges in town, on the outskirts of town and also challenges that require excursions. There are also risk and reward challenges. Teams that complete the same challenges will be compared to each other. The top 50% of teams for each challenge will receive the maximum points that are available.
Competition is not necessarily how everyone wants to spend their vacation, but Competitours offers a new and exciting twist on the idea. Not only can you take the adventure and win big but Competitours is one of the only tour companies that allow you to pay after the adventure is complete. The total grand prize package will be determined by the number of teams that register for each Competitour.
