Chicago, Illinois is more than just a windy city. It is a placed filled with culture and entertainment for the whole family. The cool temperatures that follow the fall months are the perfect time to get out and enjoy all that Chicago has to offer.

The Chicago Jazz Festival kicks off the fall season with style. The event began as a tribute to Duke Ellington and has grown to one of the largest Jazz Festivals in the region. This four day celebration is held in Grant Park. There are several stages with live performances through out the festival.

Chicago's Oktoberfest is a celebration of classic Bavarian cuisine and culture. The three day event features live music, great food and plenty of Berghoff beer. There are also raffles, prizes and many more attractions to keep your interest while you are visiting the Oktoberfest.

The Celtic Fest Chicago is another great cultural celebration. The event is held in Grand Park and includes live performances of traditional dance and music. There is also an area dedicated to the young ones in your group.

For three days in October you will be thinking nothing but apples. The Long Grove Apple Fest features apple centered food and crafts - including apple pies, green apple cotton candy, hot apple dumplings, caramel apple lattes, apple martinis and on and on. There is also plenty of live entertainment to keep your feet tapping while your lips are smacking.

Chicago always has something going on. If you need to get indoors or want to just sit back and relax, take in one of the many sports venue or shows that are going on regularly.
