Disney Cruise Line to Offer Alaskan Cruise on Disney Wonder

For the first time in history, Disney Cruise Line will be offering Alaskan cruises on board its Disney Wonder cruises ship in the summer of 2011. The trip to Alaska will depart from the port in Vancouver, B.C. and will call on ports in Ketchikan, Skagway and Juneau. This new itinerary will be just one of the seven-night sailings scheduled for the Disney Wonder for the 2011 season.
Demand for Mediterranean and Mexican Riviera cruises has prompted Disney Cruise Line to add a seven-night Mexican Riviera cruise from the Port of Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan to its itinerary, as well as a 10-night or 11-night cruise to the Mediterranean with ports in Italy, France and Spain.
The cruise adventures give travelers the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and culture of towns and cities in the region, enjoy watersports, explore outdoor activities and learn about new cultures, all while enjoying the Disney vacation experience on the cruise ship. Disney Cruise Line is famous for its personalized vacation options and unique packages designed specifically for families and large traveling groups.
The Alaska itinerary will include outdoor adventures to explore the rich history and customs of Alaskan culture, trips to wildlife sanctuaries, humpback whale watching, and the opportunity to pan for gold like miners from the famous Klondike gold rush in Skagway. The Alaskan cruise is scheduled to depart on May 3, and trips will be available through August 30. Rates for a seven-night cruise to Alaska in a stateroom are $939 per person based on double occupancy. All travelers on board the Alaskan cruise will also have the opportunity to enjoy a new dining experience at the Outlook Café, a 2,500 square foot café designed with contemporary Art Deco-inspired décor and floor-to-ceiling curved glass windows.
