Things to do in Boston in the Fall

Boston, Massachusetts is a compact city with big entertainment. It offers plenty of events and activities all year around. The fall is especially special in Boston. When the chill rides on the air then the atmosphere takes on a whole new attitude around town.

The Cambridge River Festival is a one-day event that kicks of the changing season. The event includes a wide range of musical performances and hands on art-making activities for children of all ages. There is also around 100 specialty food vendors as well as craftspeople to keep you entertained and fed for the entire experience.

The Head of the Charles Regatta is held in the middle of October and is the largest regatta in the world. Rowers travel from around the globe to compete in this special event and spectators line the banks of the Charles River. There are also other aspects of the event (food, vendors, and expos) that can keep everyone in the family entertained for the weekend.

If Halloween if your kind of thing then the Seaport World Trade Center is the place to be the weekend before the big event. The area is turned into a 70,000 square foot Halloween experience that you are not likely to forget. There are giveaways, live concerts and much more.

The Fitchburg Forge-In Blacksmith Festival is held at Riverfront Park. It brings together some of the top Blacksmiths & Metal Artists around. There are also other vendors, artists and crafters on hand as well. There are plenty of competitions, hands-on activities and more to keep everyone in your group having a good time.
